Government is corrupt at all levels, even and most importantly the city and county is where the biggest corruption happens. And Rapid City, SD is no exception and we have one of the worst city governments around. They pick on people that cannot afford to fight back and because I am a woman and I live in the northern part of the town that it is okay to harass me and steal.
I got home today to discover after being over at my boyfriends place that the police and code enforcement and anytime towing stole a vehicle right out of my driveway, it was not in the street, it was not within the public right of way but out of my driveway. It was a vehicle that I had work into and has the engine out. It was not worth much but that does not stop the city from harassing citizens and stealing whatever they can. I am owed over 3400 dollars in storage fees and work. Now the city should be liable for what they did. They have taken away my ability to collect a debt.
The city code enforcement is the way the city steals personal property from people...
Here's the irony they will not just give you the vehicle back, they charge you 132.50 for the tow and then they charge you 25 dollars a day storage. And since it is not my vehicle, I cannot even get it even though they took it from my property. They steal your stuff and then ask for a ransom to get it back.
And then the tow company calls the police for harassing them after they stole stuff out of your yard.
Please call code enforcement in rapid city (605-355-3465) and call anytime towing (605-341-2352) to tell them that they trespassed and took a vehicle they were not authorized to take and tell them to release the vehicle that they outright stole.
And they think because the bank (JP Morgan Chase) foreclosed by use of the county sheriffs auction on my home now all of my stuff is fair game for them to steal from me. I am on day 21 of 180 days left to be in my home or make a ransom payment for my home to the bank. Its day 21 and so now its open season on harassing me.
This is not my first run in with code-enforcement, as they like to violate constitutional rights everyday and since I stand up to them, I am not well liked for saying things as they really are. Now don't get me wrong vehicles' are towed every day for legitimate reasons but there is noting legitimate about this!!!!
